How to Create Static Pages in Blogger

Recently, Blogger launched the much awaited Blogger Pages Feature.So, lets see how to Create Static Pages in Blogger.

1. Sign into Blogger (www.blogger.com)

2. Click on New Post as usual.

2. Click On 'New Page' Button

5. Now, give your page a title and write the content and publish the page.

6. If you want to display the Pages list in your Blog sidebar, select the 'Blog Sidebar' option,or you can keep it as nav menu below header by selecting 'Blog Tabs' option.

Note: If You've Selected either 'Blog Sidebar' or ' Blog Tabs ' option and if you see any bx-error,.. then, come back to last page and select 'No Gadget' option. 

This means,you have to add the links manually to your template. Click on Edit Pages again and Right Click on View -> Copy link location (in firefox) and Add the link manually in your sidebar via Link widget or you can add the link in your navigation bar via template > edit html.

As of now, Blogger allows you to only create pages up to 20. But, you can hack blogger to create more pages. You can read that tutorial here.(by Switcher)

How to delete a Blogger blog

Many bloggers do not know how to delete a Blogger (blogspot) blog. The method depends on whether you are still using the old Blogger UI (User Interface) or the new UI. It is not difficult if you know where to look or where to click. The problem is, it is not obvious where to look, but this post will show you where and how. Below are the instructions to delete a blog together with screenshots to make the task easier for you.

Old User Interface 

To delete a blog is a more straight forward. First sign into www.blogger.com to access the Dashboard, Click on the SETTINGS tab and the default sub-tab will be BASIC. Click DELETE and it is done.

New User Interface

As above, first sign into www.blogger.com to access the Dashboard. Click on the drop-down menu and then click SETTINGS:

The on the left sidebar, click on OTHER and option to delete blog will be under the default BLOG TOOLS. Click DELETE and it is done:

Second method are very easy. Your following undermentioned step

• Sign into your Blogger account > Setting > Email & Mobile
• Select "Yes. Show mobile template on mobile devices." Option.
• Then select “Custom” from the “Choose mobile template” pulldown.
• Your template may not look exactly the same on a mobile browser, so click “Preview” to make sure it appears the way you want it to before you save it.

That's it! Now, your visitors can access your blogger blog through mobile phones with blazing speed...

Blogger Dashboard (Change Posts Settings Design etc)

Today's post is pretty basic but is important because it is the starting point for all your blogging tasks. I am referring to the Blogger Dashboard which essentially is the main launching pad to whatever you want to do with your Blogger blog. Many instructions will first ask you to log into Dashboard (from www.blogger.com). Once you log in, you will see something like the screen shot below:

In the Dashboard you will see the link for SETTINGS which the blogger who asked the question above is looking for, among other tabs including New Post, Edit Post, Comments, Settings, Design, , Monetize and Stats .Clicking on Settings will take you to another window with many sub-tabs (see screen shot below):

and initially you will be in the basic sub-tabs, and right at the bottom, you will see the global setting (applicable to all blogs in the same Blogger account) where you can toggle between the Updated post editor and the old post editor.

How to Switch to New Blogger Interface

Blogger announced that their new interface is available for all Blogger in Draft users. But now it is available for all Blogger users(both www.blogger.com and draft.blogger.com). simply go to your Blogger account and click on "Try the updated Blogger interface " link to enable Blogger new interface.

If you want you can switch back to the Blogger old interface again.

• Press Blogger Option Button
• Click Old Blogger Interface

How To Change Blogger Template

Blogger is an excellent platform for beginners or people that are not so much into the technical aspects of blogging. 4. Click the Download Full Template link.

You could create a folder on your computer called “Blog Templates – Back-Up” and “Blog Widgets – Back-Up” or something similar. The important is to have some kind of system – templates and backups have a habit to be mysteriously absent when you really are in need of them. Do the same with all files which belong to your blog.

If you search for “free blogger template” in Google you will get more results than you ever will have strength to go through. You have to ask yourself seriously what your practical and aesthetic needs are – and then choose from that.

Remember to extract (unzip) the archive with the Blogger template you just downloaded.

Upload A New Template

Now when you have chosen a template you would like to use it’s time to upload the template to Blogger. It is not at all a complicated procedure and everybody with some basic Internet knowledge can do it.

How To Upload A New Template

1. Download and unzip the template file.
2. Login to your Blogger Dashboard.
3. Go to Design, click Edit HTML.
4. Browse for the XML template file that you have just downloaded.
5. Click on the Upload button.
6. Confirm and save template

If you now view your blog you should see that the appearance has changed. Now you can add some widgets – but remember, do not add too much of them. A cluttered and slow blog is a sure way to scare off visitors.
